WHAT IS FTK?

For the Kids (FTK) is an annual mini- olympics for special children organized by the Social Action and Formation Program of the Center of Social Concern and Action (COSCA) of De La Salle University through its Lasallian Outreach and Volunteer Effort (LOVE).

Games such as softball throw, tennis ball throw, standing ling jump, 25/50/75- m run/walk, parlor games, and basketball shooting are played by more than 500 special children from different schools and centers in Metro Manila.

Every year, more or less 800 volunteers work together to make FTK possible, volunteers vary from students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other students of the La Salle system Schools

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT DISABILITIES? Children with: - Visually impairment/ blindness - Mental Retardation - Physical Disability - Cerebral Palsy - Autism - Down Syndrome - Hearing Impairment/ Deafness - ADHD

HOW DO YOU BECOME AN ATE/ KUYA? 1. Get the brochure and application form 2. Submit application form 3. Choose your kid 4. Take note of the details of the center and kid you chose. Write details (name/center) at the back of the brochure 5. Join the Ate/Kuya yahoo groups for information dissemination. Attend for the Sign for Language Seminar for those who chose a children with Deafness/ H.I. 6. Attend the General Assembly. 7. Visit the kid before the event. 8. Attend FOR THE KIDS 2009
